Types of Templestay

1.One-day Templestay
A program designed for those who have a busy lifestyle, but want to experience Korean templestay within a short period of time. Normally, one-day templestay program takes about two or three hours including a temple tour, meditation, and tea ceremony. If you do not have a whole day if you are a foreign tourist who do not have much time, one-day templestay would be the perfect choice.
2.Experience-oriented Templestay
If you are looking for an opportunity to experience the Korean monastic life, here is the program. Typically, done on the weekends with one overnight stay, major traditional Korean Buddhist ceremonies include attending the morning chanting, 108 prostrations, Buddhist meals with traditional bowls, and meditation. And it also provides some cultural activities such as making a lotus lantern or a prayer beads.
The specific contents of the program may vary with the temples, the season, and the interests of the participants, but it aims to help people center themselves so that they could eventually find their inner peace.
3.Rest-oriented Templestay
Do nothing but relax. The temple will become a shelter for your fatigued mind and body and will give you renewed energy. With the rest-oriented templestay program, a stress-free vacation for your mind, you can have a chance to center yourself.
